Mates in Mind is a registered charity that aims to raise awareness, address the stigma of poor mental health and improve positive mental wellbeing in the UK construction industry. Mates in Mind has an ambitious goal – to reach 100,000 workers in its first year and by 2025 to have reached 75% of the construction industry.
It is led by and for the industry in partnership with the Health in Construction Leadership Group and British Safety Council, as well as with other leading organisations and charities such as Mind, Samaritans and Mental Health First Aid England.
Mates in Mind helps to make sense of available options and support to employers.
Founded in 2014, Women in Roofing (WiNR) are an ambitious high ipact national networking platform that brings together like minded individuals with the aim of driving a positive culture for change, fairness, inclusion and respect.
Women in Roofing are actively promoting skills and diversity in the construction industry and support advancement and employment enabling both individuals and businesses to realise their full potential, create value and make a difference.
Cross industry collaboration and sharing best practice are at the heart of Women in Roofing’ values.
Over the years, Women in Roofing have worked closely with several trade associations and we have provided a strong voice and valuable contribution to joint up national strategic campaigns focused to inspire, foster and develop next generations in construction as well as driving innovation across the sector.
